Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Stephen Boison (“SeatSync”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the SeatSync application and website (the “Service”). 1. Who this applies to

  • Administrators — create an account to set up and monitor events.
  • Counters / staff — join an event with an organization name and passcode; they sign in anonymously and we do not collect their personal details.
  • Website visitors.

2. Information we collect

Account information (Administrators): email and password, or, with Google sign-in, your name, email, and Google profile identifier. Organization & event data: organization name, country, seating layouts, attendance counts, occupancy limits, and occupancy records you create. Payment information: payments are processed by Paystack. We do NOT receive or store full card details. We store a transaction record (reference, amount, currency, package, status) and your plan/credit balance. Technical & usage data: device/browser info, log data, and product-analytics events (e.g., when the purchase screen is opened or checkout started), which may include your account identifier, country, and selected currency. We use Google reCAPTCHA / Firebase App Check to prevent abuse. Communications: correspondence and feedback you send us.

  • Provide/operate the Service — performance of a contract.
  • Process payments and manage plans — performance of a contract.
  • Secure the Service and prevent abuse — legitimate interests.
  • Understand and improve the product (analytics) — legitimate interests / consent where required.
  • Send service and verification emails — performance of a contract.
  • Comply with legal obligations — legal obligation.

4. Sharing and sub-processors

We do not sell your personal data. We use:

  • Google Firebase / Google Cloud — auth, database, functions, hosting, abuse prevention (App Check / reCAPTCHA).
  • Paystack — payment processing.
  • EmailJS — transactional/notification emails.
  • Cloudflare — website/app hosting and delivery. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights.

5. International transfers

Our providers (including Google Cloud) may process data in the United States and other countries. For transfers out of the EEA/UK we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Data retention

We keep account and event data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, then delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period, unless a longer period is legally required (e.g., payment records).

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, authentication, access controls). No system is perfectly secure.

8. Your rights

You may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to processing, and to withdraw consent. EEA/UK users may complain to their supervisory authority. California residents have CCPA rights; we do not sell personal information. Contact nanaboison.ai@gmail.com to exercise any right.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16; we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Cookies & local storage

We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember an in-progress counting session, and prevent abuse (reCAPTCHA). Manage cookies in your browser; some features may not work without them.

11. Changes

We may update this policy; we’ll post the new version here and update the date.
